Find Out About the Penalty Points

One of the first things that you may want to do if you have been convicted of a driving offence is to find out about the penalty points. Usually you’ll find that certain offences carry certain points that will go against your driving record. Take the time to find out how many points the offence will give you. After accumulating so many points, you may find that your driver’s license gets canceled. Also, they will probably affect your insurance as well.

In many cases you are going to see a premium hike due to the offense. Find out from the company how much of a price hike you are going to end up dealing with so you can prepare for it. If you are convicted of a driving offence, in many cases you may be sentenced with a fine that you have to pay. If this occurs, make sure that you pay any fines by the time you are supposed to. If you don’t, there’s a good chance that you will lose your license and it could even result in you going to jail as well. So, make sure that any fines you have to pay are totally paid.

Avoid Further Convictions

When you end up dealing with a driving offence, make sure that you do your very best to avoid further convictions. One conviction on your record is bad enough, but multiple convictions can bring more points on your license and will continue to raise the rates that you are paying for your car insurance. So, make sure that you obey the traffic laws and avoid breaking the law in the future.

When you go to your doctor to get checked out, he says that your spine was injured, you most likely have whiplash and your have tears in your soft tissue.

Your doctor says that you are going to have to have therapy, and you will have to miss work for a time in order to heal.  In the end, you have mounted up costs to the tune of $15,000 in medical expenses and $10,000 in lost wages.

Now you have to send that bill that equals $25,000 to the insurance company of the guy who caused the accident.  To your surprise, the insurance company contacted you and said that they would only pay you $15,000 – take it or leave it.

What in the world are you supposed to do?

It seems like ten out of twelve top car insurance companies shortchange the person they are paying the claim to in order to save themselves money.  God forbid if you are just in a minor car crash and get hurts.  The car insurance company will delay in handling your claim, they will deny that you were even hurt and they will defend their position in long drawn-out court battles.  The car insurance companies use these three “D” tactics:  delay, deny, and defend.
